Glass is one of the most prominent building materials, which influences the modern architectural design significantly. Together with the external windows, glass is often used by the building-owners as a transparent glazing material to the building exteriors and interiors. Though the use of glass gives a fantastic look to the entire building, it is more prone to accidents. With the exteriors of the buildings open to environmental stresses, it’s dangerous to employ materials like glasses on the exteriors of a building. But thanks to the invention of safety glasses that today, the building owners can decorate any corner of their building with glazing glasses, which provides less risk. Safety glasses are those glasses, which ensure human security by breaking safely in critical conditions. These glasses are prepared by using small sheets of ordinary glass together with protective screening and thicker glass layers. In serious conditions, when the glass breaks down, the inter layers remain bonded and thus stops the glass from being spreading apart. There are three main kinds of safety glasses available in the market: - â€Tampered Glass: - Tampered glass or toughened glass, as it is called is a kind of safety glass that looks like ordinary glass, but has undergone several heating processes, which has made it tough enough to stand it critical conditions. â€Laminated Glass: - Laminated glass are those kinds of safety glasses, which are prepared by combining two or more glass layers with the layers of PVB under extreme heat and pressure. These glasses are generally used a better solution in covering commercial buildings as they guarantee a high-impact resistance. â€Wired Glass: - Wired glass is also an important kind of safety glass that is used in buildings and constructions. These glasses are prepared through a network of wires, which combines to provide the required strength and stability.
