Gymnasium is one place that requires a higher level of safety precaution. This is in relation to the type of training done at the place and the presence of training equipment which may turn dangerous. It is therefore a prerequisite that the body builder is well conversant with the safety rules in the gym. Below are some of the safety precautions to be maintained in the gym. Step 1 is that the body builder should ensure that any spill on the floor of the gym is cleared immediately. The floor should always remain dry. And the reason for this is to avoid accidents related to sliding on the wet surface. This can turn so disastrous especially where one is carrying a heavy weight. It may come crashing on him, his neighbour or other tools in the gym. This may cause serious injuries or loss of properties. Broken benches or other training equipment which are not in good conditions should be removed from the gym immediately for repair or disposal of. This is because their presence around may turn into a time bomb. One may mistakenly use the equipment with an assumption that all the training items in the gym are in good condition. The end result may be a fatal accident. Hanging of heavy training equipment or keeping them in a raised place should be highly prohibited in the gym. These tools may come down and release their weight on a trainee, and the sight may not be so impressive after that. At the same time, weight lifters should ensure that the weight is safely placed after use. It should be placed in such a way that it cannot roll down accidentally. If dismantling the tool after use can be okay with the lifter, the better. Do not turn a small room into a gym. In locating a gymnasium, space is a crucial factor to be considered. A squeezed room may be dangerous especially with trainings that involve some vigorous movements. One can be locked between the walls and the heavy tool. Worst still, the small gym may be shared with friends or other members of the family. Two in a small room and both are training using heavy objects is a risk of the highest order. Children should not be allowed into the gym during training. They may turn into potential causes of accidents since the trainee's concentration is divided between the child and the training itself. One of the two may then be messed up with. The child may also touch objects any how, exposing her to some more risks. Avoid carrying very heavy weights. Incase you want to experiment the weight of an object which you suspect to be too heavy, then do that in the presence of someone who can assist incase the weight becomes unbearable. This will prevent cases of a body builder being maimed by a weight which became unmanageable and came down on him. Finally, a body builder should never gamble with his life. Any time a body builder is not medically fit, the last place he should visit is the gym. It is dangerous to attempt training a sick body. It may be like one trying to commit a suicide. Because nobody wants to die, keep to the rules of the gymnasium.
