After months of being raked through the mud by the media and slowed sales due to the massive recalls of several models, Toyota is back on top, fixing its vehicles and working to make customers happy, Meanwhile, its legal team is in court ready to hear any proof that the company used defective systems in any of its vehicles. Independent sources have determined driver error and a government study supposedly found the same thing, although not all the findings have been released. Now the company faces plaintiffs in court who must provide evidence of these defects. Evidence Toyota is confident does not exist. Buyers of Salt Lake City cars from Toyota seem confident as well. Toyota issued this statement addressing the court case: â€This lawsuit is based on a wholly unsubstantiated claim that there is a defect in Toyota’s Electronic Throttle Control System that causes unintended acceleration. But even after months of intense publicity and multiple investigations, the plaintiffs have neither cited nor identified any specific defect in Toyota’s Electronic Throttle Control System and no credible scientific theory or proof has been advanced to support the allegations in their consolidated complaint.†â€We firmly believe that Toyota's Electronic Throttle Control System is safe, well designed, thoroughly tested, and robust. We look forward to the time when the science and engineering behind the Electronic Throttle Control System are given a full and fair evaluation by the court. Toyota is confident that the evidence will confirm what millions of Toyota drivers prove every day: that they can depend upon their vehicles to provide safe, reliable transportation.†Salt Lake City Toyota Camry buyers don’t seem to be concerned about the safety or reliability of Toyota models. Toyota, it must be said, went a long way in addressing the possible problems, providing fixes for any affected model and promising to â€make things right†with customers. So far it seem the company has lived up to that promise and dealers of Salt Lake City cars remind customers that Toyota is still receiving numerous awards within the auto industry and has been reinstated to the list of most reliable vehicles. We will have to keep watching to see how this all turns out, but from the evidence so far it looks like Toyota has lived up to its reputation of reliability and safety standards. Salt Lake City Toyota Camry customers can be sure they will find the style they want with more safety features than they can imagine. The court battle could take years, but in the meantime Toyota continued to produce innovative vehicles, add safety features and technology and set the bar high for other auto makers.
