We all know that life on earth depends on sunlight that is trapped by gases in the atmosphere and provides warmth for sustaining life. However, in the past few decades, because of the over exploitation of natural or conventional energy resources caused an over accumulation of these gases in the upper layers of the atmosphere. This has inevitably resulted trapping more sunlight within the atmosphere and resulted in an increase of global temperatures, also commonly known as global warming.

Each day, enormous amount of carbon based fuels are consumed for providing man his daily essentials such as electricity, transportation, industries, etc. Carbon monoxide and various other toxic gases are liberated after the fuel is combusted and thereby getting it is name, Carbon footprints. The effective result of this exploitation would one day lead to the end of the world if left neglected and uncontrolled.
Since some basic commodities are very much essential for man, people must be educated well and understand how to regulate their required amount of resources for there activities and not by wasting it. Carbon footprints can be controlled by following certain simple and easy tips that you could do around your house to reduce your share of carbon footprints.

The first and best way to fight back on carbon footprint reduction are by following the simple concept; Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. By reducing a certain share of the overall consumption of natural resources which are not required can impact a lot on carbon footprint reduction. Try and reuse an available item as much as possible till it can no longer serve its purpose. Recycling is the most important aspect for carbon footprint reduction. After every activity or work done, waste is produced that can't be used further. Scientists have found various recycling techniques which enable exhaustive items to be reused once again.

Several governments across the world have taken up campaigns and initiatives for combating carbon footprint reduction. Many researches and advancements have been made for turning over to non conventional energy sources that do not produce carbon monoxide and other harmful gases. The use of non conventional energy resources ensures a cleaner and greener way of living that can help balance out global warming.

There are certain things that you could do around house that can also contribute to reduce carbon footprints. Firstly, it is very important for the right and proper usage of power around the house. Switching of lights and other electric appliances in the house when not in use can reduce a fair amount of power consumption. Try and grow as many trees and plants around your house as possible and also provides an ethnic value to your house. Nearly ten percent of power is consumed when an electronic appliance is left in its standby mode, so do not forget to turn it off after use.

Using a public transportation system for daily commuting also helps in reducing carbon footprints. Thus, if each individual is made aware of this global tragedy that is impacting each every living organism on this planet, we can collectively work together to reduce our carbon footprints.
