Moreover, cry over the ever expanding size of our stomachs. Well, with the help of stomach band optimum weight loss is possible. And voila, a new you are ready to make a mark.

In fact, stomach band is being preferred by professionals of all ages for various reasons. Stomach band is a good option for reducing weight not just from the waist and stomach but from all over the body, though it is placed on upper stomach lining but leaves wonderful effect on the whole body. With the help of stomach band one can look forward to lead a normal healthy life. Well, stomach band is not for all, but is an ideal choice for people who are unable to lead a normal life or suffer from various diseases and are unable to walk or perform daily chores conveniently.

Stomach band is recommended for people affected from high morbidity or who have a body mass index of 40 or greater than it. In fact, stomach band surgery changes the shape and structure of the stomach. It is performed to limit the intake of the food that one is habitual to eat or digest. The first question that is asked by a patient is how does it limit my intake of food and how will my body get a signal of satiety? Well, the answer your query is that the incision is made in the stomach and the stomach band is placed on the upper section of the stomach where the food can be stored. The stomach band is further attached to the inner lining of the stomach comprising of silicone ring with an inflatable lining. Then the stomach band is connected with a tube to an access point, which is placed just below the skin during surgery.

The stomach band is placed in a way that automatically creates a small pouch or a bag at the top of the stomach to hold food, while the bulk of the stomach will now go down below the band. In fact, stomach band creates a very small opening known as stoma. These openings are created between the various sections of the stomach and the size of this opening can be controlled by introducing saline into, or removing liquid from the inflatable inner ring of the band through the access port. When the surgery is being done, the inner stomach band is given a very minimal inflation that helps in the production of a relatively large opening between the sections of stomach. In fact, post surgery, the inner ring will gradually get inflated until a point is reached at which weight loss is optimized and the patient is comfortable with the size and frequency of meals that can be digested easily by the patient.
