About Maharashtra State Board Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is functional for more than 4 decades. It was established under Maharashtra Secondary Boards Act in the year 1965. The main motto of the board is to improve the standard of education in Maharashtra. The board mainly conducts two major exams i.e. Secondary School Certificate exam (SSC) and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam.
