Securely Packaging Your Products

By: Rob Parker Home | Business

Robotic strapping and packaging systems are the latest innovations in the shipping of manufactured goods. Robotic strapping systems have several advantages over human systems, most notably in the areas of labour costs, uniformity, and timeliness.

Robotic packaging systems also carry another advantage over human, assembly line style packaging, in that they offer a packaging for your goods that is guaranteed to be secure. Packaged materials are in for a lot of abuse, and secure packaging can mean protecting them in several different situations:

Loading †Once your product has been assembled, it has to go on the truck for shipping. Forklifts, employees, and accidents can all take their toll on products that have been loosely packed. A robotic system specifications will allow for the least possible â€wiggle room†within a package.

Shipping †Another area where products can come in for quite a lot of abuse is in transport. While most companies make sure that products are tied down and packed tight, the immediate package around the product can make all the difference during transport. Robotically packaged products can withstand some incredible jolts and remain intact in the roughest transport situations.

Unloading †As with loading, there are a lot of potentially damaging situations that can occur as products are being taken out of transport. Robotic packaging minimizes the damage that can occur by being tight, and designed for efficient pick up.

Unpacking †Human packaged products are often wrapped to such a degree in order to prevent damage that they are frustrating to open, and doing so requires tools which may actually damage the product themselves. Robotic packaging means the least amount of securing materials, used in the most efficient manner.

Robotic packaging systems are available to take care of all packaging needs when it comes to secured packaging, including both inner security in which the products are bound together and outer packaging that protects the package as a whole. The tighter the packaging, the more secure the product is from damage caused by bumping into other products or within the package itself. Manufacturers can ensure maximum satisfaction on the part of buyers, and minimize costs due to replacing damaged product, through the secure packaging offered by robotic systems.
