Self Hypnosis: Unleash The Amazing Power Of Self Hypnosis

Self hypnosis is a powerful method to gain control over your mind and body to create positive changes. Lose weight, quit smoking, increase healing, and improve memory are just some of the possibilities with self hypnosis. And to enter into the trance state of hypnosis, one could either approach a hypnotherapist or actually perform it at home. Self hypnosis today can be achieved as long as you put in the effort to learn how to induce the trance state of mind associated with hypnosis. In this article, we are going to take a step-by- step approach you can use a guide to performing self hypnosis.

Get a comfortable chair or couch and get to a place where there are minimal distractions. It is advisable that you do not get a bed to lie down as chances of you falling into a deep sleep are high. Close your eyes and emptied your mind of any negative feelings like fear and anxiety. Relax your mind and body and rid of any thoughts by letting them slip away. As your mind and body work as one, when your mind starts to relax, you will notice that your body slowly releases any tension it has. Starting from your toes and working your way up to your upper body, imagine the tension going away each time you exhale. When you breathe in, feel the richness of the air and imagine yourself absorbing the air's power and vitality. Continue taking in slow, deep breaths till every tension in your body is relieved.

As you complete the relaxation state of hypnosis, you would now guide your mind to the deepening phase of self hypnosis. The specific technique used here is the counting in reverse technique. Select any number that you preferred, it could be as high as 100 down to as low as 10. Your goal during this phase is to let your mind control your body and bring it down into a deeper and more relaxed state for the next phase.

When you faithfully followed the above steps, you are now ready for the suggestion stage of hypnosis. The suggestion stage is the stage where you deal with the problems you are worried about. It is very important that you speak in the present tense and use present tense statements like â€I am confident and powerful at every moment" or "I am healthy and fit". Speaking in present tense allows you to communicate with your unconscious mind and to allow you to create the positive changes that you want. Repeat these positive statements as many time as you want.

After you have finished making your suggestions, it is time to end the session. Say to yourself that you will now count upwards from 0 to 10, and when you reach the number 10, you will slowly rise back to normal consciousness and remain calm and relaxed. There you have it. A step-by-step approach to performing self hypnosis. It would require some practice but the benefits would be tremendous! You could use any self hypnosis audio CDs to facilitate the procedure as well.
