Aging is a natural process and hence the need for elder care is growing rapidly. For a nation, as time passes, today’s young generation is slowly â€growing†to the old age leading to a fast approaching retirement stages. Thus there is a requirement of both medical and non medical senior care facilities. Although the services available are various in general there are basically three types of elder care assistance. Home services comprise assistance for the senior members by providing services like basic meal preparation to everyday house-keeping, with basic administration of health. This Home service or assistance is non medical in nature although a provision of support and assistance for medical health improvements is there. Nursing homes are the other types, which offer all medical and health assistance along with physical exercises and therapy treatments. They provide solutions to the difficult situations, thus 24 hour assistance and monitoring for the needy. These also provide facilities like bathing, grooming and dressing along with meal and other basic amenities. As senior people are more prone to diseases and sickness due to limited regenerative abilities than younger adults, elder care needs a human and professional approach with a feeling of their own family. Depending on the situation there are different levels of care available in medical and non medical senior care assistance. A third type of community care assistance is gaining important these days. This type of community care assistance is basically developing with the noble view and support from industries, organizations and communities as a whole through fund raising. To ensure that the health issues are addressed and treated properly, community medical personnel make monthly visits in these areas. These initiatives arranged by the communities like regular visits, participations, gatherings, socializations, information sharing bring great relief from loneliness to the seniors. Thus there is a broad choice available for the individuals to opt in among the different solutions for senior home care as described above and can also be searched over the internet.
