Set A Posting Schedule

By: John Smith Home | Business | Advertising

One of the main reasons why most blogs fail is that people continue to put off writing the entries and end up never getting around to them and essentially, killing the blog. The best way to avoid this is to schedule a time daily to blog. Most bloggers spend too much time worrying about writing the post, and in same cases, people spend more time thinking about writing the post in the future, than the time required to actually write the post. For most blogs, posts can be short and concise and take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour depending on the amount of research involved and length required. The best thing to do is to get in a runtime of when you post and the sooner you can get it out of the way, the better.

Weblogs are very beneficial for SEO and to increase your revenue, but if you do not put in the little time that is required to make posts and update your content, your blog has no chance at success. You can also find a writer to make posts for you at webmaster forums such as Digital Point or Sitepoint, but often times these bloggers will cost you at least $5-$10 a day for less than a hour of work that you can do yourself.

Its also easy to get distracted when doing research as you often come across an interesting web site and wander off course, but the best thing to do is remember to stay focused and finish the post, and then bookmark the web site and come back to it later.

If you can get into some sort of routine and stay focused for the 15-30 minutes it usually takes to make a post on a typical blog, you can almost insure that you will update your blog on a frequent basis and give it a chance to succeed.
