Anxiety is a natural reaction of our body to stress under normal circumstances. Most of us have undergone one or other form of anxiety in our day-to-day life. But fortunately there are methods available on how to treat anxiety disorder.

Often people ignore the primary symptoms of anxiety disorder considering it to be a minor problem, where as the reality is it’s a serious mental disease. Many times the disease is related to similar disorder among other family members, the significant proof is yet to be revealed though. Whatever may be the reason, but it’s crucial to meet a psychiatrist and learn how to treat anxiety disorder in its preliminary stage. If left untreated for long the disease may hamper the routine life of the patient.

Psychiatrist say, anxiety disorder is a common psychological condition and can affect anyone of any age-group. But, women are more susceptible to such condition as compared to man. The research based treatment procedures available on the web reveal that the patient should be well-informed about how to treat anxiety disorder. Some of the highly recommended treatment procedures are discussed bellow.

Drug therapy
Generally, medicines are not prescribed in the early stage of anxiety disorder. However, Benzodiazepines, beta-blockers, and Tricyclic Antidepressants are some of the common medicines prescribed for the patients with severe anxiety attacks.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive-Behavior Therapy has significant effect on the thinking procedure of the patient. It exposes the patient to dreadful situations that rouse compulsion. The process help the patient deal with the adverse situations. Physicians are unanimous about the significant effect of the cognitive-behavior therapy. As some people complain of side-effects of medicines, CBT along with medicines or only the CBT process can be effective solution to how to treat anxiety disorder.

Natural therapy
Passion Flower, Lavender, Lemon Balm, are some of the common natural remedy methods used for treatment of anxiety and panic attack disorders.
