Sexy Summer Legs

By: Kevin Agrawal Home | Health-and-Fitness | Supplements

Are you embarrassed to show your legs? Many people may feel reluctant to bare their legs for a number of reasons. Be it the age old adage "everything I eat seems to go straight to my thighs!" Or many people hide their legs because of unsightly veins which make our legs look older than we actually are.
There are a number of ways to take care of your legs""inside and out.

Exercise
If you want to have legs to die for, you"ve got to exercise! Exercise is the key to shapely legs. There are no shortcuts. Bicycling and other strategic exercises that can help shed extra pounds and build muscle can help you get the desired results you"re looking for.

There are some benefits to weight training exercises for sculpting your legs such as working out multiple muscle groups at one time which makes it easier to target more muscles. But some of the best exercises for carving shapely legs can be done without weights. Freestanding exercises such as plie squats and walking lunges work just as well and have several more benefits. They work out several muscle groups and smaller stabilizing muscles. A good way to tone your legs is by climbing up and down the stairs, walking, running, and jogging.

It"s worth all the effort to get those shapely pins. A bonus that comes with all that exercise is a shapelier and slimmer body, too!

Nutrition
Along with exercise, the right diet can do wonders for your legs. Give antioxidants a premium in your diet. Antioxidants are found in most fruits and vegetables. They help to neutralize the damaging activity of free radicals in the body. Antioxidants are believed to play a vital role in maintaining a healthy circulatory system.

Build up your intake of antioxidants, and cut down on saturated fats, fried foods, and heavy desserts. Foods you may want to include in your diet are fatty fish which are rich in omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3s has been reported to help maintain healthy circulation as well. Eat plenty of foods containing Vitamin C. Vitamin C is a major antioxidant. It helps in maintaining a youthful look and healthy skin tone. Do you bruise easily? Do you often find your hands and feet have gone cold? Vitamin C can help avoid easy bruising and cold extremities. Eat plenty of strawberries, cherries, oranges, acai berries, and red peppers.

Potassium works like a diuretic. It releases the fluid retention in the body. The thighs, knees and ankles are common parts that tend to retain fluid. Foods rich in potassium are bananas, dried apricots, soy flour, tomato puree and celery.

If you like hot and spicy food""chilies, green peppers, ginger, and garlic can actually warm your system and stimulate circulation. This helps to give relief to conditions associated with poor circulation, such as cold extremities.

Magnesium and calcium can help to avoid cramping in legs and also promote the building up of muscles. You"ll find these nutrients in wheat germ, green vegetables, soy products, dairy products including low-fat yogurts.

Healthy Circulation
Keeping good circulation in the legs is important especially as you age. You are more susceptible to weakening of the veins if your job requires you to stand for long periods or lift heavy weight, if you have a family history of weak veins, obesity, or even hormonal changes can affect circulation.
You can also help build up circulation in your legs by body brushing in upward movements towards the heart. Brush for 5 minutes with a natural bristle brush, just before taking a shower. This is a great home method to avoid unsightly veins that become visible due to poor circulation.

Vein Health
Taking a vein health supplement may help to provide all the nourishment your legs need for a healthy look! This becomes necessary in today"s lifestyle""busy schedules, coupled with easy access to convenient foods""may not allow us to get all the nutrients we need for sustaining good health. A supplement can fill the nutritional gap.

  • Natural antioxidants such as diosmin and Hesperidin help to support healthy vein elasticity and capillary integrity.
  • Herbs such as butcher"s broom, horse chestnut, and Gotu Kola support healthy circulation, help to strengthen the lining of blood vessels and nutritionally assist the body in maintaining venal health.
You"ll find all these nutrients in Vein Matrix, a complete formula for nutritionally supporting and maintaining venous health
