A recent survey has shown (after thousands of interviews) that people with different hair types want completely different results. For that reason, many companies are now making a selection of shampoo/conditioners with different combinations. Among the formulas available is one for fine hair. It contains a light conditioner that detangles the hair for easy combing. For normal types the ingredients are light cationic polymers, silky substances that bond to the hair, like polyquaternium-10, mineral oil and dimethicone. These components give a lighter â€conditioned feel†to wet hair and make normal hair more manageable and easier to style. There are also special combinations for dry or damaged hair; these components will control frizziness, condition wet or dry hair, fill in damage gaps in the cuticle and offer a slippery, silky feel. Which of these special shampoos are the best sellers? The answer is conclusive. For color-treated or color permed hair, look for labels that list hydroxypropyl trimonium chloride plus light oils like polybutene and dimethicone. They give colored and permed hair the benefit of coated and separate hairs for maximum body and softer hair. Are you oily? Yes, they did not forget you. A cationic surfactant is the main ingredient to look for plus polyquarernium-16 and dimethicone. This combination coats and separate strands so that the hair does not look greasy. These are wonderful new products, among them Bumble and Bumble’s Leave-In Conditioner. It can be left in for extra moisturizing or rinsed out for lighter conditioning. For a finishing rinse, a great new product from The Creative Herbal Complex Series has formulated its health-enhancing richness of botanical herbs like rosemary and chamomile to give extra shine and brightness to your hair. If you ask my opinion about products, I will recommend only those with real plant ingredients, grown without petrochemicals or pesticides, no artificial fragrances and not animal-tested. I have found that answer only in my new Intensive Moisturizing Treatments. They come in all variations for thinning hair, giving maximum volume, and for dry hair. It can be applied as lotion before drying your hair with a little massage in the scalp (making sure that it gets to the ends also). They also have it in forms of shampoo and conditioners for all types of hair. A little added advice for this summer: If you are a Self-Tans consumer (the only safe way to glow), remember to smooth petroleum jelly on brows and hairline to prevent tanner from staining hair.
