Shea Butter For Mature Skin

By: Robyn Scott Home | Health-and-Fitness | Beauty

As we age, our skin loses the elasticity and strength that it once had. Skin may become thinner, more fragile, and can be more easily irritated. It is also easier for our skin to dry out as we age. If you are wondering why your skin is changing so much as you become older, you should know that it's a natural part of the aging process. For a lot of people, this can be very frustrating. It means that you have to change your usual skin care products for products that are less harsh and that can give your skin the amount of protection it needs. If you notice that your skin is dry and irritated, there are some things you can do to remedy it.

As we mature, it is very important that we take care of our skin. One of the most important things we can do is keep it hydrated. By using a hydrating cream that protects and heals irritated and dry skin, you can keep your skin healthier and that makes you happier. Shea Butter is a great cream for senior skin. Packed full of vitamins and minerals that protect and heal dry skin, Shea Butter is a natural product that will not irritate your skin the way other harsh creams can.

It is also vitally important to protect your skin from the sun as well. Seniors don't have as much natural protection from the sun as others do. Shea Butter contains something called Cinnamic acid. This is a natural acid that protects your skin from the sun's UV rays. By simply rubbing Shea Butter on your skin, you will have better protection from the sun. As we age, this is very important.
You can use Shea Butter as a balm for different kinds of irritations as well. It is great for bruises and muscle aches that come with aging. Simply rub it on the affected area for relief and healing. If you experience dry, cracked feet, rub Shea Butter on them at night. This will absorb deep into your skin for hydration and healing of dry and cracked skin. It forms a protective layer of moisture on your feet and allows them to stay hydrated and moisturized.

Shea Butter stays on longer than most moisturizers. Since most are made from a lot of water, they absorb quickly and don't last very long. Shea Butter is a thicker, richer cream than most, and heals while it moisturizes. We may not like the idea of having to care for our skin more than we used to, but with one great product that takes care of many different problems, you can rub it on and stop worrying.

There is no need for a medicine cabinet full of different creams, lotions and potions. Straight from nature itself, Shea Butter is amazing at healing all sorts of skin problems, and also for protecting the skin and preventing new problems. Take care of your skin, but don't waste your money on a ton of different products that aren't going to work anyway. Save time with Shea Butter; save your money, and save your skin.
