Imagine your favorite flower. Mine, since I was a little girl, has been the daisy. To me, the daisy represents hope and sunlight and openness. It has a symmetry that is soothing and cheerful, and it almost shouts, "Welcome!" I always wanted to have a big vase or bucket of daisies on the front hall table, so they would be the first thing people saw when they walked in the door. Unfortunately, I don't have the time and energy to keep buying new flowers to replenish the vase. With silk flowers, though, it is possible to actually incorporate my favorite blossoms into my home decorating. If I only have to buy one vase of big, gorgeous, silk flowers, I can have them greet my visitors every day for as long as I want. With silk flowers, you can have your cake and eat it, too. Make the upgrade! These aren't the silk flowers you grew up with. Chances are the term "silk flowers" doesn't exactly conjure up an image of elegance, style, or... life. We all had a grandma or a friend's grandma who had a basement or a screened porch decorated with tacky, flimsy things. They looked anything but real! They had frayed edges, and neon green stems that bent like wire hangers. They might have been called "silk flowers," but do you believe they were really made of anything as delicate and beautiful as silk? Those flowers were then; this is now. The more recent varieties of silk flowers have made a serious upgrade from those old things from our childhood. Now silk flowers are made to look just like the real thing, with all the rich tints and hues, and even textures that we look for in real live flowers. Use silk flowers to get more creative and to brighten both ho-hum and special days! You don't have to become a gardener to fill your home with blossoming beauty. With silk flowers, you can decorate with the best of them. For holidays, you can bring in silk poinsettias, or beautiful spring flowers as the weather gets warmer. You can herald in all of the seasons with the appropriate silk flowers. You can also decorate the individual rooms in your house with silk flowers, making more permanent design choices around the colors and spirits of your favorite flowers. The money you spend on those beautiful yellow flowers provides not just a beautiful bouquet, but a permanent accent for your living room, dining room, or guest bedroom. All that beauty can come without a green thumb. All you need is a creative eye! And don't underestimate the sheer beauty of these silk flowers. They look just like the real thing - but you don't have to water them, and you never have to throw them away!
