Sinus Infection Symptoms And Causes

When you have a sinus infection, it will be a good idea to boil a pot of water and have some hot tea. Many of these are derived from herbs so you can try Echinacea if you are allergic to ragweed. There is also astralagus which is even safe for children to drink. Another option is Oregon graperoot which is known to kill many types of bacteria and lastly there is lemon balm.

The sinuses are air-filled spaces within the bones of the face and skull. They are lined by mucous membrane and connect with the nasal cavity through small channels. The sinuses may become infected whenever an infection is present in the nose and throat, such as occurs in the common cold, influenza, ect. The normal drainage channels from the sinuses become blocked by the infection, and this may also cause the sinuses to become infected.

The most common symptom of the sinus infection is thought to be a congestion of the nose. Besides this there are many other things that can indicate that you have a sinus infection. For example a nasal phlegm that is colored green, some pain in the mouth, a headache, pain on the face and coughing are other symptoms of a sinus infection that you might have to deal with.

Sinus Arrest is an abnormal heart rhythm which is a cause of Sick Sinus Condition or Sinus Node Dysfunction. These sinus conditions are usually a sign that ones sinus node is malfunctioning. The sinus node is the human heart’s â€natural’ pacemaker.

If a sinus infection is not treated with antibiotics or other medicines sinus often sinusitis will resolve itself in any case within two to three weeks. In some cases, antibiotic treatment to slow the problem, it was credited to the antibiotic when the body is healing.

Many people with sick sinus syndrome do not have symptoms. Or they do not think their symptoms are serious enough for them to see a doctor. Some signs and symptoms of sick sinus syndrome are fainting, being dizzy, confusion that comes and goes, feeling the hear has skipped a beat (palpitations), chest pain, angina, fatigue, shortness of breathe aching muscles.

If you suffer from sinus or migraine headaches, you know that pain relief in the form of a pill can work. But after four or six hours, the pain returns and you return to the medicine cabinet for another â€hit†of the pain-relieving drug. Experts say that the use of acupuncture reduces your dependence on pain-relief drugs, whether they are addictive or not. Over time such drugs can cause liver or kidney damage, or ulcers.

Sinus and headache are two different problems. When they club together and make a joint attack on you, your only defense is to find out the root cause of their arrival and then check them. So far, it has not been possible for the medical science and research, to defeat the sinus headache. But to erect barricades in its onward march is certainly possible!
