By: steven bray Home | Shopping-and-Products

Ireland is a scenic country and no wonder the people and the Government are going all out to protect the environment. As a result there has been a strong emphasis on alternate sources of energy in this picturesque country. Solar energy is being used extensively in the country primarily by residents who are using it for heating their houses and water. Solar energy is also being used for generating electricity. The basic solar kits that are used for the purpose are the collectors with reflectors and thermal paste which are used for optimum water heating. There are many companies which produce solar panels and Evotherm solar panels are one of them. If you are looking at installing solar panels in Ireland, there are many small and medium sized enterprises which sell and install the panels in your home. Not many of us know that the Government of the country gives special incentives for homes which are installing the solar panels.

Solar panel sales in Ireland have been on a high for quite sometime now. The reason is quite obvious. Ireland's energy import bill is going up and the Government is taking steps to ensure that people use alternative sources of energy more frequently. The second important reason is environment. Conventional sources of energy cause damage to the environment and this has been a concern of environmentalists and Governments for more than a decade now. The European Commission has given special directives to its member countries to ensure that alternative sources of energy are used more frequently. However, this is more for production of electricity rather than water heating. Every country within the Union has to produce certain units of electricity using alternative sources of energy. Now coming back to solar kits for water heating, let us check out some of the kits that can be used by residents.

There are two types of solar panels that are in demand in Ireland. The advanced kits come in various quantities. The smallest one is approximately 150 litres and comes at a price of approximately â'3000. The Government gives a grant of approximately â'530 for installing this facility. The kits are suitable for 2-3 people. The bigger ones come in quantities of 400 litres and the price is approximately around â' 7000. The Government gives a grant of approximately â'1580 for these kits. The larger kits are suitable for homes in which there are approximately 8-10 people. The kits are given as incentives to encourage people install the kits. The grants given by the Government has encouraged people to install solar water heating kits in their homes and as a result sales have shot up. It is advised that residents should know the regulations that guide for sanction of Government grants. People should avail these grants and install the kits. If your house is fitted with a solar kit, it will increase the valuations of your house. So, it is time that you go ahead and install a solar kit that best suits your requirement.
