In 2008 Hollywood provided movie goers with more than 325 movies. In this group of over 300 films, some where around sixty or seventy fit into the comedy genre. The following are some of the best funny movies that have hit the theaters in 2008. ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: The bills aren't getting paid and Zack and Miri, platonic friends since childhoold, need to come up with some cash soon. Their solution? Simple, make a porno. As one can expect this situation makes for a funny film. STEP BROTHERS: Two forty year old child adults, who both live at home with one parent, find themselves having to share a bedroom because their mom and dad get married, we see that they are bound to have problems. Put Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly playing the parts, and this seems to be a great recipe for lots of laughs. This film is a sure thing for comedy lovers. PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Complete stoner Dale unfortunately has just viewed a bad police officer, and a powerful drug dealer, kill someone. He was spotted witnessing what's gone down. Knowing they've seen him, he is so shaken he throws down his joint, a rare blend namend pineapple express, and gets away fast. This joint is such a unique type of weed, that the bad guys can. The chase is on, Dale and his pot dealer friend Saul are on the run. HAMLET 2: Unsucessful actor Dana Marshz has moved on to teaching theater classes at the high school to uninspired high schoolers. The school loses a building due to destruction, so the administration decides the acting classes will get the axe. Now fully motivated, he sets out to keep the school from dropping his classes by producing Hamlet 2, a new version of the classic, which he creates. FORGETTING SAHRAH MARSHALL: Overwhelmed with grief after an undesired break up with Sarah, a television actor, Peter eventually decides to escape to Oahu to recover from his depression. As one might expect, upon checking into the resort, the first thing he sees is sarah and her new boyfriend, who's bigger than life. This film is a fun filled romantic comedy. GET SMART: Agent 86 is at it again, "and loving it". KAOS vs CONTROL, the shoe phone, and all the classic quotes. It is worth the look back at the 1960's spy spoof series. MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA: As you might imagine, this is the continuation to the box office hit Madagascar. The four animal heroes, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo are trying to head home to New York's famous Central Park Zoo, which is home for them all. Instead, as the Penguins are up to their old tricks, they are off to their true homeland, Africa. ROLE MODELS: Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (William Scott) a couple of energy drink promoters, are going to see some hard jail time after trashing the company truck. The option to get out of being locked up is to work in community service for 150 hours. They will have to mentor troubled kids in a community service program. The stage is set for some good comedy. TROPIC THUNDER: Overloded with good actors this film is a claasic parody of popular war films. To get better results from his super star cast to make a first rate war movie, the desperate director into the wild, and leaves them there by themselves. The plan is to scare them so they will produce a work of genius, that will be recorded on hidden cameras. Unbelievabley, as the director blows up on an old French land mine, the actors are now truely on their own, and they think there acting, when things start to get very real. Stars include Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., and Tom Cruise. Thesw films, and many, many more, are availiable to buy, get as a rental, or even download right onto your computer.
