The Arabella Resort which is nestled amongst the hills of Son Vida and the capital city of Palma has three magnificent and classic golf courses, Son Quint, Son Vida and Son Muntaner. The Son Muntaner golf course offers a wonderful opportunity to the avid golfers to enjoy a perfect round of golf amid the spectacular Mediterranean surroundings. Son Muntaner was designed in May 2000, by Kurt Rossknecht who was remodeling Son Vida. He came back to develop a more demanding and longer sister course. The golf course offers a spectacular panorama from all parts and it is also a very highly recommended course to have an intriguing game of golf. Spain is lucky to have numerous golf courses and also some of the best in the world. Son Muntaner Golf Club is also one of the top golfing destinations for the golf enthusiast. In fact this is a course for the players, and from the initial hole you will have to face tough approach shots over water bodies to the bunkered greens. There is a glittering lake alongside the 2nd and 3rd holes, which is sure to challenge your precision on every shot you play. The bliss of playing golf here is not only the prospect of swinging the ball from the tee to reach the best position for the next shot, but also in the extent of the greens. They give you the chance for different pin positions, which makes the game on the course play in a different manner every time you play. Son Mutaner is in fact a spectacular golf course with broad fairways with 18 holes, which have been created in a such a manner that a golfer with a handicap of 36 is able to play with golfers who have single digit handicaps. The layout has been landscaped to stay in bloom all through the year and you will find the rarest of flowers. Son Muntaner is home to the oldest olive tree in Mallorca, â€Sa Capitana’ which is believed to be about a thousand years old. Son Muntaner golf course is longer and tougher compared to the Son Vida and the fairways are mostly more open. In fact the greens are so large that you can get into a habit of three puts. There is only one noteworthy water body, but an unruly tee shot on the sixth, par 4 may see a watery grave. Son Muntaner is a scenic and absolutely rewarding golf course designed amongst the softly undulated hills on the outskirts of Palma and just the place for your next golf holiday in Mallorca.
