The winter time has to be my favorite time of the year. Sure everybody complains about the cold weather, but I think it is the perfect excuse to dish out those fabulous winter fashions. And one of my winter wardrobe obsessions has to be boots, specifically those cute and fabulous booties. Booties, for those that aren't in the know, are not those precious little sock-like items for infants, but an ankle boot. These great pieces of footwear are an essential for any woman's wardrobe for a multitude of reasons. One, because they only come to the ankle they are much easier to put on than the knee high boots; two, they come in a variety of styles and shapes; and three, they are accessible pretty much anywhere. Usually high heeled booties themselves come in a variety of styles, but a classic and chic bootie like one with a 3-inch heel is a great bootie option. If you want a boot that will go far in terms of pairing it with different outfits, stick to standard materials like quality leather and suede, and neutral colors like black and brown. Choosing standard pieces like these go with anything from a pair of fabulous jeans to a great dress and tights. You will definitely get a lot of mileage out of a chic pair of black or brown high-heeled booties. However, if going standard is just not your style, then no worries - there are a ton of fun high-heeled booties out there in the market. There are a ton of really trendy bootie styles that are making a splash this season. Trends like peep toe booties and shoes that are embellished with buckles and studs are a great look for this winter season. Personally, I've been dying to snag a pair of really cute Docs for the longest time, and pair them with some textured tights, a long button down shirt and a great boyfriend blazer. But hey, you can wear them any way you want. That's the beauty of rocker boots, you basically have the freedom to wear them to contour to your style, not the other way around.
