If you must use an extension cord, use a 12 or 14 gauge cord. No one heater can be called the best space heater because what's good for one may not be for the other. Don't try to get one space heater that will fill all different needs. If you're looking for a heater that keep your feet warm, look for one that will do just that. A heater with a fan will heat a whole room quickly. Portable space heaters can give you so much comfort for the money that you spend. They are a good investment.
