Straight Talk Omega 3, 6, And 9 The Good Fatty Acids. What Make Theses Fatty Acids Good For You?

By: Buford Middleton Home | Health-and-Fitness

Fatty Acids are molecule chains made from atoms of Carbon, Hydrogen, and Oxygen. The importance of these acids is that they have. What is called bonding sites which allow other molecules to attach them self's to the fatty acid.

Complex fatty acids are long and straight. These fatty acids from that we referee to as saturated fats. This is because they have many bonding sites and can store more molecules than simple fatty acids like omega 3, 6, and 9. Then our body's brake down these saturated fats they release an over abundance of the molecules, the result is that your body stores this over abundance as fat on your body.

Simple fatty acids differ in length but all are spiral in shape, limiting the number of molecules that can attach them self's to the fatty acid. The result is less molecules for your body to store as fat. The difference between omega 3, 6, and 9 is the number of carbon bonding sites. Omega 3 has three carbon bonding sites , 6 have six carbon bonding sites, 9 have nine carbon bonding sites.

There is through an amazing difference as far as your health is concerned between the number of these carbon bonding sites. Omega 3 with its three bonding sites acts as an anti inflammatory to counteract the inflammatory actions caused by the omega 6 fatty acid. The big problem is that our body's lost the ability to produce omega 3 fatty acids. Unless your diet contains olive oils and other fruits and nuts high in omega 3 fatty acids you are not getting the beneficial effect of omega 3s anti inflammatory action. This could add to a number of health problems associated with tissue inflammation.

Therefore, what is the health benefit in comparison to eating foods high in omega fatty acids like olive oil and flax seeds in comparison to taking omega fatty acid supplements. If you are already eating a diet high in omega fatty acids not mush. Your body well benefits but most people how eat this way consume very few saturated fats. If you are like the rest of us and consume diets high in saturated fats. Your body well benefits in two ways. First you well be getting the benefit of the omega threes anti inflammatory properties. Second these fatty acids are not bound up with sugars like, they are when you consume them in your food. Hence the extra your body does not use to produce fatty tissue, like your brain, well bond to free sugars released by the saturated fats in your digestive system, not allowing them to be stored as fat in your body . They well then pass through your digestive tract lowering the sugar levels in your blood stream.
