Stress Hair Loss & Baldness

By: Baldness cure Home | Health-and-Fitness

Stress is a main cause of baldness, it is also a trigger to the appearance of gray hair.

Our emotional state effects our health for an unknown reason. Scientists claim it happens due to evolutionary reasons †so that in case of danger the body will be ready for fast escape or battle.

I’m sure you’ve heard that high stress may cause mild physiological respond such as sweating, high pulse, high blood pressure and headaches †but it also can cause severe effects such as weak immune system, hard diseases (some claim it can cause cancer) and of course heart attack.

Stress and hair loss are inter related. Stress creates a chain reaction in our body, in which stress hormones (such as adrenaline and cortisol) are secreted and have a negative effect on our health. That also include muscle contraction and changes in the blood flow that reduce the blood stream to and in the scalp. When stress is temporary, the effect is mild, but once it’s frequent †a real damage can be caused, and that includes hair growth damage and baldness.

Bad habits, such as junk food, addictions and medications that are used to reduce stress also cause hair loss, so the overall effect of an unhealthy lifestyle and stress simply triggers baldness †and you can see it anyware. If you gulp down coffee for breakfast and few more during the day, swallow a burgers for lunch and smoke to kill the stress †don’t forget to check out your hair†you may be losing it.

The main reason for stress in the modern world is work. We are living in a very competitive and stressful environment in which results are required asap. Many hours under stress almost everyday have their price on our health. This is also why we see so many young people losing their hair comparing to past decades.

Hair loss as a result of stress attacks men and women alike, it is also considered to trigger male of female pattern baldness †and accelerate such baldness once occur. If you want to prevent baldness †you must take this into consideration, and adopt a healthy lifestyle that also include natural ways to relax (yoga is great, but any hobby or activity will do).

Lack of exercise, bad habits, poor diet, hectic work schedules and timetables†one also effect the other (poor diet can also lead to stress as sugar levels are imbalanced, stress may cause bad habits etc) and leads to baldness in men and thinning hair in women.

So †what can you do about it?

You should take action to prevent or reduce stress, together with hair care and hair treatment. If you have bad habits †get rid of them, or you will lose your hair.
