Stress Relief Natural Diets And Simple Tips

If you sometimes find yourself feeling tense, impatient or short tempered, you may be suffering from stress. Stress is a normal physiological reaction to life-threatening danger. This response is typically called the "fight or flight" response.

When a human being encounters a life-threatening situation, a flood of hormones enter the bloodstream to help us survive. Hormones like adrenalin and cortisol, give us superhuman strength, a great big boost of energy and they temporarily switch off our other bodily functions like digestion, fighting disease and looking for a mate.

Oranges for stress relief, who knew? It turns out that vitamin C relieves stress by returning your blood pressure and levels of cortisol (a chemical produced by the body when you're under stress) to normal quickly.

Garlic -

Garlic has been used for centuries as a medicinal cure for colds, the flu, allergies, and weakened immunity. It is known to have detoxifying properties and to lower hypertension associated with stress.

Quinoa -

Quinoa is one of the few foods in the world that contain all of the essential amino acids needed in the body. Quinoa is high in protein and is the easiest protein to digest. It contains more than 10 vitamins and minerals including magnesium which can help reduce stress headaches.

Pumpkin -

Eating pumpkin at least two times a week can help your body relief stress; eating pumpkin can help the body shed stress. Pumpkins contain magnesium which acts as a natural stress reliever for the body.

Cabbage -

Cabbage contains high levels of vitamin C, vitamin E, and Vitamin A. It also contains high concentrations of beta-carotene and selenium. All of these vitamins and minerals act as powerful antioxidants in the body, which is very useful in managing stress.

Laughter -

Laughter is definitely a stress reliever and good for you’re over all health. Go to a comedy club or watch a comedy on television. Haven't you ever been with a friend that makes you laugh and you walk away in a better mood and you love being with that person, good for the soul, learn to chuckle at even the small stuff.

Meditation -

Stress treatment can be as simple as learning some stress treatment techniques through stress meditation. While is sounds very new age, at it's core it is learning "focused relaxation", and ways to quickly reduce your stress levels.

Exercise -

For many stress treatment comes in the form of exercise. Exercising to reduce stress is caused by the body's release of the same endorphins that many of the other techniques do, but will also help you get in shape.

The other stress relief tips to look at are nutritional supplements. Some of the foods we eat like Turkey, fish, and nuts have many natural benefits that aid you in stress reduction. One word in caution with the nuts however as too much selenium can be toxic for your system so don't overdo it.

You can also find many vitamin supplements, and natural herbal remedies for natural stress relief. However read up on any herbal stress remedy or nutritional supplement before you begin taking it to make sure it has been tested and does not have any reported side effects.
