Student Visas Uk

Get Educated in Britain with a UK Student Visa

If you have thought about visiting the UK but have reconsidered due to school obligations, you should be aware of the option to complete school in another country, such as Britain. When it comes to student immigration, UK has its own type of visa, appropriately called a Tier 4 Student Visa. Obtaining a UK student visa allows you to stay in the country for more than six months if you're working towards a degree or have courses that last longer than that. The maximum stay is four years, though you can apply for an extension if necessary. If you plan to study in the UK for less than six months, you can apply for a regular tourist visa.

Student visas, UK student internship visas, and any other student programmes all have strict rules to follow, both during the application process and afterwards. Like some other UK visas types, British student visas use a point system. As long as you can prove that you have been accepted to a programme of study in Britain via a teacher as a sponsor, and have the money for both tuition and daily expenses for the duration of your study period, you will pass according to the point system. This is because you will not be allowed to work in the country when you enter with a UK student visa, unless the job is related to your studies and lasts no more than 20 hours per week. However, you do have the option to switch to another visa type that allows you to work after you spend some time in the UK with the student visa. Additionally, if your spouse comes with you after applying for something other than a student visa, they are allowed to work full-time.

Clearly when it comes to student immigration, UK has some specific rules. However, as long as you meet the requirements of student visas, UK can be a very rewarding place to study. Topics like history and the English language are particularly satisfying to learn when surrounded by constant reminders of both. If you tire of the rules that come with student visas, UK makes it possible to eventually apply for a different type so you can be regularly employed or eventually work towards becoming a citizen. A company like Capital Visas can offer guidance in the form of information on the requirements for student visas in the UK.
