Reading the Bible in order to understand the Word of God and to become a better human being is not enough, you need to study it and look below to surface in order to truly understand what it means. This approach is often known as Bible Study. Bible Study is often done in groups. Memorizing the Word gives you spiritual ammunition in times of mental unrest. It allows the Holy Spirit to work through you, helping you get through tough times. It also strengthens your faith.
