Study Well Before Choosing A Morning Sickness Relief Method

Every woman wants to get relieved from pregnancy morning sickness. People who are not familiar with the term morning sickness might guess it to be a type of sickness which a pregnant woman feels in mornings only. But this guess is completely wrong because its a full day and night sickness. It usually occurs because of dehydration. It is also one of the important symptoms of pregnancy which begins after two months of conception.

According to the research, there is no specific cause of this problem. Still it is believed that during pregnancy many hormonal changes takes place in womans body and when the hormone HCG or Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin, which controls other pregnancy hormones rises and it results in the form of this problem.

Some of the symptoms of morning sickness can be bad odors, smoke or emotional stress.

Medication for nausea is easy to follow because nausea is not a disease and does not require any treatment but some understanding. Good knowledge will help you in opting effective relief measures. Therefore, it is advisable to read good books and magazines. Below are some remedies that can give morning sickness relief to a pregnant woman.

Eat some salty snacks when you wake up in the morning, before leaving the bed.

Ginger is a good home medicine for treating nausea. So try ginger tea or dry ginger.

Peppermint also helps in nausea. It also helps in sagging energy levels.

Take caffeine free drinks and foods.

Take food that is low in fat and rich in nutrition.

Avoid spicy meals.

Take small meals in every 3 to 4 hours and do not get extremely hungry at any point of time as it can affect the health of the baby.

Try to give up smoking at least until the pregnancy period ends.

Drink liquids between meals and not with meals.

Eat food that are rich in proteins and complex carbohydrates like cheese, yoghurt etc.

Before taking any medication, always consult your doctor.

Beside all the above ways of relief, there are home remedies as well for curing nausea. Some of these are as mentioned below.

Pressing two fingers firmly and gently on your belly button for a minute will give relief from morning sickness. Please note that acupressure helps the woman to treat nausea at any point of time without taking any medicine.

Add two tablespoon of bael juice in cooked rice and have it twice or thrice a day.

Extract juice from curry leaves and mix it with one lemon juice. Then add one tablespoon honey to it. Taking this mixture 4 to 5 times in a day keeps the this problem away.

Another important cause of morning sickness is low blood sugar levels and usually it happens in the morning when you wake up. This is the reason why pregnant women are advised to take some snacks before leaving the bed in the morning.

To conclude, women should study necessary steps that can be followed for prevention of nausea during pregnancy. However, if it becomes severe then they should not hesitate in consulting a doctor for relief measures.
