Subaru Dealers In Ft. Myers Looking Forward To The Wider 2011 Subaru Wrx

By: Allan Lofton Home | Automotive | Cars

A brand name that seems to be popping up on my radar a lot lately is Subaru. To be honest, I’d never associated the Subaru name with aggressive looks, but if Buick can make a small car and Kia can have a record 2009, then I’d have to say the entire consumer driving market is pretty up for grabs right now. It seems to me that Subaru is just one of the many manufacturers looking to differentiate itself from the intense competition that is continually emerging across the industry, whether it is in the form of smaller cars, more fuel efficient engines or brand offerings in new and previously untouched segments. Regardless of what exactly your draw is these days, Subaru dealers in Ft. Myers are going miles to keep themselves at the top of their game.

One of Subaru’s most popular lines of cars to date is the Impreza, which has won a slew of awards over its time on the market. The rally-bred WRX is one of the sportiest offerings I’ve ever seen or heard of from Subaru. Ft. Myers used Subaru dealerships are still selling out of this impressive model. But, if you’re looking to see what Subaru has in store for the next crop of Imprezas, look no further. We got a few helpful hints from some of our Subaru dealers in Ft. Myers, and the next generation of the Impreza WRX is a car with some serious balls, a testosterone injected beast that looks like it performs like a dream. While I can’t substantiate that last statement, I’ve got a pretty good feeling it will hold true.

The 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX features a much more aggressive stance, with a 1.5 inch wider track in the front and in the rear and firmer rear subframe bushings that are borrowed from the STI. Wider wheels (17 x 8 inch) are wrapped in 235/45R17 rubber, making the car much stickier than its predecessor. This is great news for Ft. Myers used Subaru drivers looking to buy new, as they will be able to enjoy all the benefits of this fantastic new vehicle. Even the front fascia gets a restyled front lip spoiler that goes well with a larger, blacked-out grille and intakes †offering several more reasons why the WRX wrecks better than its predecessors, like whoa. Just ask your Subaru dealers in Ft. Myers: this car really kills.

The curb weight of the WRX only goes up a grand total of 34 pounds. And boy, can this baby jet. As a small, sporty car, the WRX is equipped with a turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-four that puts out 265 horsepower and hushes Ft. Myers used Subaru drivers with a simple pass-by in traffic. That’s the kind of car that will get you places in this consumer driving market, where the focus has shifted heavily in favor of the smaller, zippier and more fuel efficient vehicle. Yesterday’s SUV is beginning to bleed into today’s crossover, and the face of an entire industry is undergoing a reconstructive surgery that would make Joan Rivers blush.
