Take Fish Oil For Cardiovascular Health And To Lower High Blood Pressure

The hearts job is to pump blood around the body. Blood pressure depends on how forcefully the heart pumps that blood and how relaxed or tight and narrowed your arteries are.

If you have been diagnosed with high blood pressure it is likely to be because your arteries are too narrow.

Having high blood pressure can be a worrying time, if you have been diagnosed with it then you are likely to have been told the averse affects it can have on your health, most worryingly high blood pressure can lead to strokes, kidney failure, heart attacks and heart failure.

It is therefore important to do all you can to lower your blood pressure. There are many ways to help reduce your high blood pressure including taking Omega 3 and 6 fish oil for cardiovascular health.

If you are a smoker, you need to quit! The narrowing of your arteries can be partially down to smoking and this is putting an additional strain on your heart.

Exercising regularly will greatly improve your chances of reducing your blood pressure. You may need to consult your doctor before deciding on an exercise regime, but doing too much too soon will hinder rather than help.

Reduce the amount of alcohol you consume. The empty calories in alcohol will be increasing your weight, putting an additional strain on your heart.

Try to relax. Whether this is in the form of gentle exercise, yoga or meditation; learning to relax is vital for you to be able to beat your blood pressure. Also try to avoid stressful situation.

Being stressed increases how hard your heart tries to push blood around your body. If you have narrowed arteries this is going to put a massive strain on your heart.

Finally diet. You may have already been advised to lose weight to reduce your blood pressure and yet you could be at a loss as to how to start, what to avoid or what foods are going to aid you in your quest.

The first thing you should do is to help your cardiovascular system to cleanse itself by taking some fish oil for cardiovascular health.

Cutting down on your intake of salt is a good way to begin addressing your diet to help reduce your blood pressure. In ready made meals there is often a high concentrate of salt.

This is because it is used to season tasteless food and it is the oldest preservative. If you do have to eat ready made meals, check out the labels, salt content should now be made easily visible. If in doubt however don't by the product.

Reduce salt in your own cooking. Many of us reach automatically for the salt pot when cooking, but try to refrain from doing this; instead season with herbs and spices. Your heart will thank you for it.

Finally eat a varied diet. Lots of fresh vegetable and fruit along with plenty of water and oily fish have been linked to helping reduce your blood pressure. If you don't like to eat fish it is simple to just take a capsule of fish oil for cardiovascular health every day.
