The state of Texas is very dedicated to the understanding and aiding in the Texas state and postpartum depression. It is estimated that eight out of ten new mothers experience one form or another of postpartum depression immediately after giving birth. Symptoms include crying, short tempered, and feeling extremely frustrated and angry. Most of this is a natural course of giving birth and generally will part within a couple of weeks. However, some women experience it to a severe degree of pulling away from the baby, having no interest in the baby, of wanting to hold or comfort the babe. Most severely are the temper and anger to the point that some new mothers have thoughts of their death and even the death of the new baby.
