Arcade games are more than just video games they are part of our tradition, they have been around as a term since the good old days of the pinball machine, and even earlier in many cases. There are several web sites that offer free arcade games including solo player, multi-player, action, adventure, card/casino, racing or skill games; but unfortunately most of these sites are not well organized, clean or have a wide variety of games. Several of these games can be downloaded to our computers so that we may access them later on without a need of a web connection, this is a very handy feature which can be a life saver if you are using a dial-up connection which uses your phone line while you are on the web. This tool can also be used to build your own collection of action, arcade, strategy, board, war, and many other games instead of having tons of games with small pieces here and there; which as many board player aficionados know, its a real pain. Online games also allow you to brush up and improve your gaming skills when it comes to card games such as poker and even for those who don't know how to play a particular game, this is a great way to jump in and master any game in the world. Another advantage which is not often told is that there are several online games designed to improve your concentration and memory; so if you are one of those people who tend to forget things a few seconds after you hear them, then memory games are a must for you. Many of these games have actually been put together in bundles, touched up a little bit and sold in stores for $10 - $20 a piece, now why would you want to spend this money when you have them all for free on the web?, not only will you be able to play the very same games but you will have a greater database and more flexibility.
