Golf is a relaxing and rejuvenating sport - it is entertaining, challenging and provides a great way to socialise with family, friends and work colleagues. Here are the best golf courses in London.



Beckenham Place Park, Beckenham Hill Road, London

This houses England's largest and busiest public golf courses. It consists of an 18 hole golf course which meanders through the ancient woodland of the park, providing entertainment to players of all levels.



Coulsdon Court Golf Club, Coulsdon Court Rd, Coulsdon

This club has an 18 hole course, which measures just over 6,000 yards. It was built in the early 1920's and is a beautiful parkland course which enjoys spectacular views over central London.



Highgate Golf Club, Denewood Road, Highgate, London

Situated just a few minutes from Oxford Street, this 18 hole course is set in idyllic surroundings on the north side of Hampstead Heath.



Lullingstone Park Golf Club, Parkgate Road, Chelsfield, Orpington

The golf course here is located in 500 acres of gorgeous countryside in the Darenth Valley near Chelsfield Village. It is a public course, and unrestricted. There are many facilities offered here including pitch and putt courses for the whole family.



Mill Hill Golf Club, Mill Hill, London

Located just five minutes from M1, M25 and A41, this golf club borders Hertfordshire and North London.



Oaks Sports Centre Golf Club, Woodmansterne Road, Carshalton

This club has two golf courses - an 18 hole and a 9 hole mature parkland. The club offers other facilities such as a restaurant bar and cafeteria, full conference and banqueting facilities, a large Pro Shop and even offers lessons.



Richmond Park Golf Courses, Roehampton Gate, Richmond Park, London

This golf course is situated in Richmond Park Golf Club, a small and friendly private club that has two public 18 hole courses. It has been running since 1924, has a 250 yard practice range and is an excellent place to take the family along for a round of golf.



Thamesview Golf Centre, Fairway Drive, Thamesmead, London

This course is enjoyable to golfers of all standards and experience - it ranges from a simple 132 yards to a challenging 505 yards. Many of the holes are undulating and have a tree lined aspect. Golf lessons are also available with a PGA coaching team for beginners to experienced golfers.



Trent Park Golf Course, Bramley Road, Southgate, London

This course is situated in the rolling hills at the beginning of the green belt, opposite Oakwood underground station. It is an 18 hole public pay and play golf course set within the grounds of the stunning Trent Park Country Park.
