By: HopeWeinner Home | Food-and-Drink | Coffee

Does Bunn make a heavy duty coffee maker?

All of Bunns commercial coffee makers are heavy duty. Bunn coffee makers are designed to withstand the rigorous environment of restaurant and commercial use. In addition, Bunn has heavy duty coffee makers especially for high-altitude. So if you're looking for a heavy duty Bunn coffee maker, any of the commercial models are for you.

Is it suited for home use? Yes, we have represented some extraordinary characteristics of the heavy duty coffee makers from Bunn that shows it capacity to suit for household use.

Construction:
This insulated container keeps coffee at an unexceeded temperature for about 2 hours and lets you deflect the burnt or cooked taste many heated glass carafes produce. The thermal carafe is double-walled, dishwasher safe, and is topped with a convenient close-and-brew lid.
Carafe

The Bunn BTX is fit with a stainless steel carafe. It's vacuum isolated, so you never have to worry about your coffee getting cold. You won't even have to use a warmer which could overheat your coffee.

The carafe is also dishwasher safe, so when it gets dirty, you can just toss it in. It has simple to grip plastic handle and a short, somewhat husky pouring spout. Because of its unusual design, this spout offers simple pouring and is virtually splatter free.

Tank

The stainless steel tank can hold 50 ounces of water at a time. It's quite comfortable to fill the tank thanks to the fact that it's on top and to the rear of the brewer. The tank is also fitted with an internal thermostat. It services to determine that the water remains 200 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the perfect brewing temperature for coffee.

Heat

The Bunn BTX is powered by an 800-watt heating element. When the brewer is first powered on, it takes about 15 minutes for the water to reach the perfect brewing temperature. As long as the machine receives power, the heating element will insure that the water stays heated and always brew coffee within 3 minutes. Every time the vacation switch is activated this brewer will require another 15 minutes to heat the water when the machine is turned on again.

Plate:

The thermal carafe will keep your coffee warm for hours without offering any heat. And, if you rinse the inside with hot water just prior to brewing coffee, you can improve heat holding even further.

Filtration:

It is commended that you use filtered water for brewing, which will enhance the coffees flavor. If there is no water filtration system in your household try using bottled water or attaching a filter to your tap.

Brew

The Bunn BTX brews coffee very speedily. It brews anywhere from four to ten cups in close to three minutes. Since the water is already heated, you simply have to fill the filter and close the lid to start the brewing process. It is also commended that you rinse the inside of the carafe with hot water prior to brewing coffee, which will serve to keep the coffee warmer for a longer period of time.
Vacation

As you just learned, the Bunn BTX invariably heats the water in the stainless steel tank. However, this is waste if you're not going to be using the machine for a few days. In this case, you can simply use the vacation switch to turn the heater off in the tank.
