By: Rob Jones Home | Travel-and-Leisure | Vacation

The Cairngorms is Britain’s largest National Park which opened in September 2003.Visitors from all over the world visit this fabulous National Park to enjoy beautiful scenery, tranquil lochs, glistening rivers, wild moorlands and mountain peaks.

With very few roads to the area; visitors can travel on foot and enjoy the highest and most massive range of arctic mountains in Britain. The Cairngorms has four of Scotland’s five highest mountains. The different landforms that you will visage include granite tors, heavings and leavings from Ice Age glaciers.

There are several events throughout the year. In August there is the annual Harley Davidson rally â€Thunder in the Glenâ€. It is advisable to book early as this is a popular event with bike enthusiasts.
