The Dangers Of Cocaine Use

By: Adrian Adams Home |

The number one danger of cocaine use is addiction, while the number two danger is death. Cocaine use is a bigger problem in the world than any other drug. If you continue to use cocaine for a long period, you are endangering your life. Your heart rate is increased, your mental alertness is affected and you can lose a great deal of weight. These three facts alone are going to lead to poor health and may even cause death due to complications of cocaine use.

Cocaine use is not the only thing people abuse, they usually mix alcohol with the drug, which can lead to other problems. Too much alcohol can lead to alcohol poisoning, which can result in death or long term health issues. When you are snorting cocaine, you have the ability to drink even more than you could without it. When the two drugs are mixed together, they are deadly because the more coke you use, the more you drink. This causes the inability to know when the body has had enough of everything.

Some medical dangers of cocaine use are heart attacks, respiratory failure, seizures and gastrointestinal problems. The ingestion of cocaine can result in gangrene of the bowel, which can lead to death if not detected early enough. Cocaine has many different effects on different people. One thing is for sure, cocaine use is dangerous and can cost you your life or at least a healthy life. Some people have become complete zombies with very little brain function due to the extended use of cocaine.

Dangers of cocaine use in women in childbearing years are very sad. If a woman gets pregnant while using cocaine, there is a good chance the baby may be born with a birth defect or if the mother continues to use the drug, the baby is born addicted to cocaine. You have never seen anything sadder than a baby born crying non-stop for drugs. It is something that no mother should accept much less inflict on an innocent baby.

There are so many reasons why cocaine is dangerous to use, but most people do not take notice of the warning until it to late and they have serious health problems or personal issues. Losing a job you have been at for twenty-five years with a salary of $65,000 a year income and a family to feed is alone a danger. Unfortunately, you do not realize until you lose your job, family and are living on the streets, do you realize the seriousness of cocaine use. If you are struggling with cocaine use, you need to seek professional help immediately.
