My journey in this world began with a massage because my grandmother said it would give make me tall when I grew up and would keep me healthy all the years of my life. In the initial stages I only ate, slept and needed lots of cuddling and holding, to establish the sense of security and well being within me. All the treatments to me are given on time whether its a massage, milk feeding, shower and changing my diaper. Every time I am surrounded with my parents but I still feel lonely because I have a wide range of emotions but I cannot express my feelings through words. I only use actions like crying to let everyone know about my feelings. In such times, my mother plays the role of a great magician I don’t know how she comes to know about my feelings and immediately gives me all the things that I want. I land up testing my mother’s patience when I cry indefinitely and she doesn’t know what else to do but even in the the toughest of tests she never falls short. My mother knows that my first year is very important, because this is the time when I find my place in the world and will develop my special feeling towards her. The moment I became a child, my world started widening and suddenly became very challenging. The environment which I was surrounded with built up my personality. In the first two years I suddenly felt my self growing tall†I would cry when my legs would hurt. The cooing and babbling sound I made really attracted people wherever I went. By the time I learnt to sit up and crawl, I was also making a mess of the things. I would bite soft pillows and drool and drabble all over the place with my fingers in my mouth. I liked the feel of having something hard in my mouth because I felt ticklish on my teeth. One day my mother opened my little mouth to find 1 tiny tooth coming out. My mother had to be very attentive because I needed a lot of protection from the household dangers when I was just learning to walk, run, and poke into anything they find interesting. When I grew up and learnt to talk how to communicate with others meaningfully. This is the appropriate time when my parents played a remarkable role in the rapid physical growth, intellectual development and spiritual quest. My life was an adventure with learning new words. Mama was the first I learnt to say and it made me feel so warm when my mother hugged me. My mother made sure she would pick me up in her arms, cuddle me and kiss me as often as possible I felt warm, loved and secure. I learnt the most out of playing. Games and other activities enabled me to learn about the world around them. All these physical activity, games, intellectually stimulating games literally enhanced my creativity and confidence. My parents dealt with me as professionally as possibly with all their basic skills as parenting needs. My Parents were not a psychologist but had enough common sense and knowledge to contribute to my development. The birth of a Child is the beginning of a spectacular journey for the parents and the baby. It's also an important event for all those special people who will be involved in the baby's life such as father, brothers, sisters, grandparents and friends.
