With the increase use of Mac computers, IDS Internet Service Ltd, based in North Vancouver, Canada, now fully supports their courier and trucking software suite on the Mac Operating System. "2008 saw the Mac Operating System take a 32% increase of the market share," explains Gordon More of IDS Internet Dispatch Services Ltd. "We quickly realized that there is no software for the Courier and Trucking Industry that is supported on Mac Computers." Since 2005, IDS has supported their courier and trucking software solution on Windows based computers. In the last year, more and more clients have wanted to move away from the problematic Windows Vista Operating System to a more reliable solution like that offered by Apple. Since IDS is supported on both Windows and Mac based computers, people can make the switch slowly, by running both types of computer systems in their office. "While people want to make the switch to Mac Computers, they are concerned about the learning curve," states More. "We allow them to make the transition slowly with little negative impact on business."
