At some point or another we all attempt to deal with raised levels of stress. Short lasting and mild levels of stress can be occasionally beneficial and prove quite motivational. Dealing with too much stress however potentially yields a number of serious side effects, some even fatal! Unwanted weight gain, depression, anxiety, mood swings and feelings of overwhelm to name a few of the common symptoms. Coping with stress and learning to eliminate it from our lives are two very different things and it is the latter you must achieve in order to live a long healthy life.

It is more essential now than ever to realise that we have to master and eliminate stress from our lives wherever plausible rather than believing that coping with stress is our only solution. Weight gain is one of the major problems and direct effects when you are coping with stress. A disrupted digestive system is directly linked to prolonged stress, add this to any over eating (comfort eating) and inactivity and weight gain is highly likely and difficult to contain.

This, in turn, creates the basis for being able to isolate the problem and begin working to reduce if not eliminate the damaging cause from your life.

Can this be achieved overnight? No, there is no legitimate method that will begin to reduce your stress overnight.
