Denver is a beautiful city in the state of Colarado with many attractions. Being a very populous city it is called as a city- country. It has a lot to offer to the tourists and the people who are fond of hiking and biking. With its numerous beauties, parks and landscapes †the city holds the place of the capital of state. The history of the city is old and dates back to nineteenth century and was founded in the summers of 1853 during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush in the Kansas Territory. This was established by the people from Lawrence who were gold prospectors. They developed a place of living on the banks of the South Platte River, and called the place Montana City. This settlement later became the city of Denver. These gold prospectors later abandoned the city in favor of some better place. In 1958 a land Speculator- General William Lacrimer came from the eastern Kansas, and named the town site the Denver city, after the name of the Governor of the State. The city had a unique importance that it is accessible to all existing trails and is thus a good place that had been catering numerous new emigrants for long. It has been a place of casinos and trade for the local miners. The overall temperature of Denver is hot. However the city enjoys all the four seasons. The weather here is mostly extreme in summer with average temperature about 50 degrees. However the winters are cool. The first snowfall occurs in the month of October. The place has an average amount of rainfall every year. The rainy seasons are cherished a lot because they bring relief from the awesome heat, but the whether can be very unpredictable at times and there may be huge thunderstorms. There are many important places in Denver including the City Park, the Mountain Park, the Cherry Creek trail And the Red Rock mountain Park. These all placing leave a spell binding effect on the visitors. There are many opportunities for hiking which attract a large number of people and tourists. The Denver city is a prosperous city in terms of economics. Since it joins many trails and is accessible to all the miners and industrialists around it provides a very good trade and thus there is a flourishing economy. The Denver University is a distinguished University with a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This is the largest and oldest of all private universities in the rocky Mountain region and thus holds a very special place. The university provides education to over ten thousand girls and boys. It was founded in the era of Abraham Lincoln. The university ranks 86th among the private and public sector. It is not only important for studies but also has produced a large number of renowned sports personalities. In short Denver is a beautiful city with a spectacular landscape, prosperous economy, good education and an overgrowing population. All these factors make Denver a very important place in United States
