Old classic movies are everybody's favorite and it becomes difficult to choose some of the films from the vast ocean of creativity. Style and creativity team up to make a movie classic. We will discuss a few old classic movies here.
Let us start with an all time favorite old classic, Ben Hur. This is an epic movie, brilliantly made with effects and styles. The expensive sets and costumes make the film grander. The fighting scenes are immortal and it is a favorite with all ages. Charlton Heston played the title role and did an excellent job. Yule Breyner was as good and as wicked as ever. The grandeur of the Roman Empire bewitches all the viewers the world over.
Another all time classic has been Sound Of Music. It is not even possible to describe this brilliantly awesome film. An all time legend on its own right, the film has been a favorite of all age groups. Set in the backdrop of World War I, the film was shot in beautiful Austria. The songs are legendary and the actors, Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer and those seven little children of Captain VonTrapp were awesome.
Another old classic has been Gone with the Wind - a classic tale of romance, starring Clarke Gable and vivacious Vivian Leigh. The immortal character of Reth Butler played by Clarke Gable makes the film particularly memorable. Vivian Leigh never looked so beautiful anywhere else. The film was shot brilliantly in a far west location.
Old classics include all the works of the great master Charlie Chaplin. Those immortal comedies created with great mastery in the silent era will always be like the monuments, which stand still for ages. Lime Light and Great Dictator happen to be everybody's personal favorite. The great master created some brilliant magic on the screen in adverse conditions when most of the modern conveniences of film making were absent. Even without sound the master created something that makes the viewers speechless.
Another old classic movie is Cleopatra. The title character was played by Elizabeth Taylor. Her husband Richard Burton has also played an important role in the film. A nicely shot film in the backdrop of Roman Empire, the film is one of the best for many people. Ravishing Elizabeth created a history with her attire and look as Cleopatra. She looked stunning in the film and acted radiantly. The film was a huge success in the Box Office also.
Lastly, a film which needs to be mentioned while talking about old classic films is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It is a very nice film to watch with lots of humorous scenes and nicely portrayed characters - a feel good movie with all the ingredients to make all the viewers happy and content at the end.
