There are so many different types of bunk beds that you can choose from these days, they used to simply be one bed on top of the other, with a ladder connecting them for access to the top bunk bed, but now they are available in lots of different varieties. You can get a double bed as the bottom bunk and a single bed as the top bunk; this would be a good idea if the bunk beds were used for when friends and family decide to stay over. Small bedrooms would benefit more from using bunk beds than others but they can also be used in larger rooms in which you would just like more floor space, perhaps for the children to play or to fit more toys in. The frames can be made of different materials, wooden and metal being the most versatile, thus making them the most popular. To really brighten up the bedroom would be another advantage of having bunk beds, you could maybe dress the bunk beds in matching duvet covers and accessories and maybe some pretty twinkling lights to make them look more comfortable and inviting. Also separate mattresses can be purchased for each bunk and they can be changed as regularly as you wish. Some of the wooden frames can even be painted and so can be changed as often as you change you room decor. Floor space in small bedrooms is quite important and so bunk beds are an excellent space saver, they are basically two beds that can take up the floor space of one bed. Underneath the bottom bed there will be quite a bit of space, this could be used as extra storage space for toys or clothes and drawers or storage boxes could be purchased to store them in.
