The Only Type Of Exercise To Keep Women Youthful

By: Gen Wright Home | Health-and-Fitness

It does not make sense that many women spend so much money on clothes, shoes, makeup, their hair and other exterior things and neglect the crucial thing that would keep them youthful looking - their bodies strength. Muscle tissue loss is the number one bio-marker of the aging process and it will age the human body quicker than any other factor. Yet so many women ignore this and pour money into things that will never help stave off the aging process.

You cannot look young, at your best and in your prime without strong toned muscles. That is simply not possible. They are like the inner stuffing of a cushion, padding and holding your skin out stopping it wrinkling and sagging. They add firm shape to your body and keep your posture strong and erect making your clothes hang and look better.

You are more likely to be in control of your bodyweight and body composition (muscle/fat ratio) when your muscles are toned and strong and you are less likely to become overweight which will add years to the way you look and feel.

When you are strong you have youthful energy and vitality, feelings of self confidence are improved and you sleep better so you are more rested. You can not only live longer but you can live better as each day with increased strength means you can fly through your chores and have energy left over so you can enjoy active leisure activities.

As many as 8 out of 10 women do not do enough muscle building and maintaining activity yet they are prepared to spend money and time on themselves in ways that will do nothing to keep them truly youthful. Being a couch potato is not going to help you stay young looking yet women over 40 spend an estimated 80 percent of their time seated. That is the behavior of a couch potato - no question about that.

Our bodies were made to be active - very active. When we use our muscles to do the 'work' they were designed for it stimulates the release of 'growth and repair' hormones that replace old worn out cells and tissues with younger, stronger and healthier tissue. That is the power of muscle tissue in relation to the aging process.

When you add proper exercise into your life you are dipping into the Fountain of Youth in every way. Even mentally and emotionally we have much to gain from it. It reduces feelings of anxiety and depression and increases feelings of physical well-being and self-confidence. Stress is dissipated along with the stress hormone cortisol which if left hanging around in the body will make you old, fat and tired way before your time.

So you can see there is not another better way you could spend your time or your money if you wish to remain youthful physically, mentally and emotionally. No amount of nice clothes can ever hide an out of shape flabby body.

If you are new to strength training exercise get yourself some help from a fitness professional so your program is set up properly and monitored so you can get the very best results. In just a few weeks you will notice a big difference in the way you look and the way you feel and will wonder why you have waited so long to get yourself started.
