So you have now managed to get yourself a pair of Ugg Boots! Unfortunately after wearing them for a while you will find that they start to lose that just new look and will need cleaning. In this article we take you through the steps you need to do in order to get them back looking the same as the day you got them. As you will soon discover because these particular boots are extremely comfortable to wear you may find that you will wear them constantly. This then leads to them becoming covered in dirt and dust as well as retaining the odors that have come from your feet. An easy way to ensure that you Ugg boots retain that just brought look is by using a special product for cleaning them. Unfortunately these kinds of cleaning products are not exactly cheap and can sometimes be difficult to get hold of. But below we provide you with the steps that you can take to clean your Ugg Boots and ensure that they stay in the same condition as the day when you brought them. Step 1 - Firstly you need to dampen the whole of the boot outside using some cold water. All you need to do is get a bowl of cold water and a sponge. Then place the sponge in the bowl (wring it out) and then wipe it over the boot. At no time when cleaning your Ugg Boots should you immerse them completely in water. Step 2 - You need to get some leather cleaning solution and into a bowl you should put 1 part of this solution and the same amount of water. Ensure that the two are thoroughly mixed together and as you did with the water initially you need to rub this solution all over the boots. Step 3 - As you apply the diluted cleaning solution you should rub the sponge gently over the boots and then rinse this off with another sponge that has been put in clean cold water. Step 4 - After you have finished the above steps you now need to take some paper towels and stuff these into the boots. You can if you wish use newspaper instead as long as you stuff in enough so that the boots shape is retained. Then place them in a place to dry. Do not leave them either in direct sunlight or close to a heat source. Step 5 - Finally, once your boots have dried out completely you can remove the paper and with either a suede brush or a lint free cloth you can should restore the nap. Quick even strokes across the boot will bring the nap up correctly. Also if you find that your boots smell a little bit then just take a mixture of baking powder and cornflour (2 teaspoons of each). Mix together and then sprinkle inside the boot where you leave it over night before turning the boot upside down and shaking out any excess.
