Locals have a firm belief that these rice terraces should be the eighth wonder of the world, especially as it has been created by human beings. The terraces are like designs which are made on wood or plastic, only more beautiful. Looking at them now, it is really hard to imagine how they would have been made so many years ago, since they look so beautiful even today. It is said that the Ifugao people had made them so that they could provide food to their native people and since it also helped them in keeping safe it turned out to be an added advantage.
