The Simple Way To Boost Self Confidence And Achieve Your Goals

By: Wendy Jones Home | Health-and-Fitness

Have you ever felt anxious, depressed, nervous, or angry? Or feeling low on self confidence and self esteem? One of the questions I get asked a lot by my clients (and friends too) is how to build self confidence and start to feel good about life.

No matter how bad or how low you feel, if you start to use these techniques when you're feeling low, I know you will start to feel much better and far happier than you ever thought possible. They'll also show you how to start really achieving your goals and life long dreams at the drop of a hat.

Neuro Linguistic Programming techniques can empower you to overcome all sorts of negative and dysfunctional emotions, and easily turn them into something much more positive. It's pretty much like having a "happy button" that can take effect within just a few seconds.

Don't be misled - knowledge is not power.

Having the knowledge that you're going to learn with these techniques will mean absolutely nothing unless you turn the information into action. Whoever said "knowledge is power" was lazy - as the power comes from taking action based on your knowledge. Please don't let this knowledge sit idle in the back of your mind - put it to good use and you will see some wonderful benefits - I promise.

It's time to pick up your Magic Hats

The process I'm going to explain is more widely known as The Magic Hats Program - there's 5 steps and 5 different colored hats - all of which are very powerful and highly effective.

Step 1 - Self Hypnosis. This is where you place yourself in a very deep state of total relaxation. Just feeling this relaxed is enough to make you feel great, but we are only just getting started.

Step 2 - Modalities. This simply refers to your modes of thinking. We all remember our past memories and experiences through our senses - visual pictures/photos, familiar sounds, delightful smells and aromas... An example being that when you pick up a familiar smell, it usually triggers the memory of what happened when you last smelt it.

Step 3. Swish Patterns. This is a very simple technique that allows you to change from Mike Spencer is a life and personal development coach. Here he shares a very simple approach to overcome your fears and build the life of your dreams. These simple techniques can be your roadmap on how to build self confidence and overcome the things that are holding you back from achieveing the things that are really important to you.one state (feeling down, unhappy, etc) to another (feeling happy, confident, elated, excited)

Step 4. Anchors. Not the ones on ships, but those in your mind. When you experience a happy, powerful or positive emotion, it gets anchored into your subconscious by means of an anchor - like a familiar smell or an old photo. By selecting an anchor to use for the positive emotion we are experiencing we are able to recall that emotion at anytime we wish.

Step 5. Understand your mode of operation. Most people simply react to the things that happen to them every day, and are therefore controlled by their environment. By understanding how and why we react in these ways, we can start to take control of our reactions, and finally decide how we react to the every day things that we experience.

Learn to Relax on Demand

Learning to relax is probably the most beneficial achievement you can ever make to your health and success. The human body functions much better when it is relaxed and stress free (honestly, it does). In order to get the most benefit and biggest results out of these techniques, you need to be completely and fully relaxed. So here's how to do it.

Sit in your chair with you back straight, and your feet flat on the floor. Make sure the base of your spine is pushed right back into the back of the chair.

1. Take one hand and place it on your stomach about where your belly button is.

2. Push your stomach out into your right hand and at the same time take a deep breath in trying to fill your lungs into your stomach. Then allow your lungs to expand into your ribcage. When your lungs are full, hold your breath for the count of 6. This method ensures you completely fill your lungs with oxygen rich air, and get as much of that oxygen as possible into your blood stream.

3. Now breathe out slowly for a count of 6 and suck in your stomach muscles as far as you can at the same time. This helps expel the maximum amount of air from your lungs ready for the next deep breath in. Once you have exhaled, hold your breathe for another slow count of 6.

4. Take a deep breath in again and repeat the process for between 6 and 12 times.

The process we are following is: Push out your stomach and breathe in - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6; Hold your breath - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6; Suck in your stomach and breathe out - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6; Hold your breath - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6; Repeat the complete process 6 - 12 times.

When you've finished (or maybe even while you're in the middle of the exercise) you may feel slightly dizzy or light headed. This is simply because your blood is now highly oxygenated and you are more relaxed.

Now that you're calm and relaxed you can move on to the rest of the program - I haven't got space to fit everything in here so there's a free download you can get over at http://magic-hats.com with the rest of the steps. You can download it and have completed the first task within the next 10 minutes, and be on your way to a happier, more positive and much more successful life.
