The Black Sonim XP3 Enduro is a no nonsense type of phone. Its exterior casing gives away the elements of this phone that are its main benefits. Its out casing looks and feels solid and extremely durable. It is a phone which is not meant to be seen in the latest clubs and pubs, but more likely to be seen up a mountain or building site. It is aimed at a specific market where durability is considered more desirable than looks and it achieves this aim with distinction. The phone offers a 1.77 inch TFT screen which displays over 65,000 colours and is also scratch resistant. This is suitably large enough to view images clearly. The phone itself is relatively thickset, as its casing is durable. It is 24.6mm thick and weighs 140 grams. This all fits in with the main benefit of its tough exterior. The phone offers vibration and ring alerts with the ability to download and use MP3 and WAV as ringtones as required. The phone is shock proof, water proof up to 1 metre and dust resistant. It can be dropped on to concrete from a height of 2 metres and still function. This is something that could not be said for many phones. GPRS, class 10 is provided for connectivity with Blue tooth as well. Mini USB is provided, all of which allows for sharing and synchronising of files with suitable functioned mobile phones and PCs. The phone provides a voice memo facility which has become a firm favourite with its owners as well as an organiser and stop watch and countdown timer. This suite of additional tools is provided to offer additional useful elements that are generally required whilst on the move. The Sonim XP3 Black is a tough, durable phone whose main aim is to function in all types of weather conditions and environments. It achieves this by providing an outer casing that is resistant to all forms of possible dangers. Its target market is the one whereby its main usefulness is that it functions and provides services not matter what the conditions. The phone has no camera or bells and whistles that other phones have, but it is not aimed at that market. It is a tough phone for a tough environment and as such provides outstanding performance in those circumstances.
