The fact which have been stated many times that the true meaning of the festival Chanukah is to spread the lights everywhere that is spiritual as well as the light of humanity. As per the traditions this is the time when the teachers receives gifts or some money which shows the appreciation for the hard work they did for the students and because of which that student succeed. Somehow occasionally children also receives gift and this explains that why Jews gives the gold foil covered chocolates on this holiday.
