The Truths About The Solar Energy

By: Richard Finch Home | Home-and-Family

So you have been told that solar energy is a most clean and convenient source of renewable energy, well if you want to know if that is truly correct, the answer is yes and no. Yes solar energy is a convenient source of renewable energy and no solar energy is not a perfectly safe and hazardless form of energy.
Let's take a deeper look on energy. Solar energy is you harnessing direct sunlight in order to fulfil your energy requirements. It usually requires you to install a non reflective panel that works by actually converting the miniscule packets of energy contained in sunlight, also called photons into electrical energy that is later conducted onto your electrical grid for use.
The very first source of energy used by mankind, sunlight has proven a blessing for humankind's evolution to the technological age and still the sunlight keeps helping mankind. However all these advantage come at a price: Global warming.
Most of you people would already be aware of the greenhouse effect. How the ozone layer surrounding the earth keeps a certain spectrum of the sunlight away from our earth and how the inner layers keep the heat from going back out of the atmosphere. Does it then seem too impossible when I state that the same holds true of any sunlight we absorb and that is not reflected?
Many people will agree that the amount of sunlight not reflected by these solar panels worldwide is minuscule. Consider however what would happen if projects like covering the whole of the Sahara desert with solar panels were actually undertaken.
You will all agree with the famous law from Newton that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Consider where all the heat energy we are absorbing from sunlight is going. Obviously not out because our ozone layer keeps it in.
In this article, the intention is not just to inform you of yet another problem that may occur due to your actions, considering you were doing nothing but good, but to give you the understanding of what actually solar energy is and to decide between the lesser of the two evils knowingly because there is no other alternative within the price range.
The earth is a combination of a multitude of living organisms. Very much like a living organism. Many people believe that whatever you do to it, it will eventually wear off the results. Although that holds true to some extent, you need to give earth time to heal off the wounds it already has. And that is by using relatively less unhealthy techniques like solar power or the entirely healthy energy types like wind or water power.
The intention is to conduct the energy in our appliances with as little harmful techniques as possible and give the planet its due time to let it heal. Later on we can of course deal with things like that extra heat energy in our environment that solar energy is bringing in and maybe by then more healthy electric creations may be invented to ensure that we are doing as much as we can to save our planet.
