Three Aging Skin Problems

By: Miodrag Trajkovic Home | Business

Aging! Okay, it IS better than NOT aging, but aging isn't pretty. We are usually in our 30s when we first begin to notice that the healthy glow of youth seems to be fading from our skin. That firm, smooth, flawless skin of our youth that practically glowed with health and vitality begins to look tired and older, and lines develop around the mouth and eyes. There isn't anything you can do about getting older or about your skin getting older, but you can fight back. You can fight back against specific aging skin problems.

Here are three aging skin problems and what to do about them.

1. More visible pores: The very first sign of aging skin that is noticed is that the pores appear to be larger. Use a facial scrub with beads to remove dead skin cells, dirt, and grime. Use botanical masks at least twice a week to help make your well-cleansed pores appear smaller.

2. Drying or dull skin: Use moisturizers generously to help keep the skin moisturized. Facial scrubs can also help with the problem of dull and drying skin by removing the dead skin cells.

3. Fine lines and wrinkles: You might opt for a face lift, Botox injections, or chemical peels if you are affluent enough to be able to afford these procedures. You can also speak to your dermatologist about antiaging prescription treatments, and there is an abundance of products on the market that are available over the counter to fight lines and wrinkles.

Drinking plenty of water rather than coffee, tea, and alcohol and eating a healthy diet that is heavy on the fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and light on saturated fats and processed foods and, most importantly, protecting your skin from harmful sunrays can help.
