Based in Indianapolis, Indiana -- the Colts is a professional football team which has been around ever since 1953 when they were part of the Western Conference until 1969. For nearly 30 years from 1970 all the way to 2001 the Colts have been part of the American global conference East division and recently (2000 until today) they have been part of the AFC southern division. Championships and Important Moments: The Indianapolis Colts have had a great deal of successes and have become the first team in league history to win at least 12 games in five consecutive seasons. The Colts have won five NFL championships which include two successful Super Bowl participations. In 1958 they went up against the New York Giants at the Yankee Stadium and were able to overcome the locals by a score of 23 to 17, the very next year they make their appearance once again to battle the same team but this time they were able to win by a margin of 31 to 16, in 1968 the team takes on the Cleveland Browns and the Colts are able to crush them by a score of 34 to 0. When it comes to Super Bowl championships they were able to take the maximum recognition in 1970-71 when they won against the Dallas Cowboys by a very tough score of 16 to 13 in quite recently they made their appearance in 2007 when they faced the Chicago Bears and were able to come out victorious by a score of 29 to 17. According to coach Paterno, Johnson is ready to make a contribution to the field after receiving lots of tough love through training, fans of Colts shouldn't miss any of these games as they are guaranteed to be nerve-racking, needless to say the tickets for the 2008 season are going very fast so get them and don't miss all this great action.
